This course is designed to start you on a path toward future studies in  graphic designing, no matter how little experience or technical knowledge you currently have. In this course, you will learn the skills and tools required to manage these two domains and their wide range of applications in the IT, Web, Graphics, and Advertising Industries.

I have traditionally used the  Difference Blend Mode in the past for aligning layers.   As the description implies, the difference blend mode subtracts the pixels of the base and blend layers and the result is the greater brightness value.   Well, when you subtract two pixels with the same value, the result is black.  This makes it very easy to see where images are aligned in Photoshop.  If the resulting image (or most of it) is black, then you know the alignment is good!

A film editor and video editor both assemble raw footage into a final sequence during post production, ideally showing the vision of the director, producer, and writer. Since most modern movies and videos use digital formats, a video and film editor commonly use the same type of software (such as Avid or Final Cut Pro). Video editors typically work on short pieces, while film editors work with multiple scenes. Video editing positions are often found in a newsroom or at a media production or advertising company. In some cases, an editor may edit both long-form and short-form pieces on a freelance basis.


Web development refers to the creating, building, and maintaining of websites. It includes aspects such as web design, web publishing, web programming, and database management. It is the creation of an application that works over the internet i.e. websites.
